Single Tab for Zendesk

Single Tab for Zendesk does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Ever.

Overview

Single Tab for Zendesk is a Safari browser extension that consolidates Zendesk links into a single reused tab.

Data we do not collect

Single Tab for Zendesk does not collect any of the following:

  • Personal information of any kind

  • Browsing history or activity

  • URLs you visit

  • Email content or metadata

  • Zendesk ticket data or account information

  • Device information

  • Analytics or usage data

How the extension works

The extension runs entirely on your device. When you click a link pointing to a Zendesk domain (*.zendesk.com), the extension detects the navigation and consolidates it into a single Safari tab. This process happens locally on your Mac and no data is sent to any external server.

Permissions

The extension requests access to browser tabs solely to detect Zendesk URLs and manage tab consolidation. This permission is not used to read page content, track browsing behavior, or collect any information.

Third parties

Single Tab for Zendesk does not share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data in the first place. The extension has no analytics, advertising, or tracking integrations.

Strip It: Read & Print

Strip It: Read & Print is a Safari browser extension that removes clutter from web pages for cleaner reading and printing.

How Strip It works on most websites

For news articles, blog posts, recipes, and general web pages, the core cleaning and printing features of Strip It run entirely on your Mac. The extension reads the page open in your browser, identifies the main content, removes navigation, ads, and other clutter, and renders a clean version. For this basic cleaning, no data is sent to any external server — nothing is collected, stored, or transmitted.

Strip It also offers two optional features that send page text off your device, but only when you choose to use them: cleaning a LinkedIn profile, and the Summarize button. These are described below.

How Strip It handles LinkedIn profiles

LinkedIn profiles are processed differently because LinkedIn's page structure is too complex to clean up reliably on-device. When you use Strip It on a LinkedIn profile page, the extension sends the visible text content of that page to a server we operate at stripitapi.vercel.app. That server uses Anthropic's Claude AI to extract the profile information into a structured format (name, headline, experience, education, skills), and returns the cleaned result to your browser.

What is sent to our server:

  • The visible text content of the LinkedIn profile page you are actively viewing (up to 40,000 characters)

What is not sent:

  • Your LinkedIn account information, login credentials, or session cookies

  • Your browsing history

  • Pages other than the one you actively chose to strip

How the Summarize feature works

Strip It includes an optional "Summarize" button. When — and only when — you click it, the extension sends the visible text of the page you are viewing to the same server at stripitapi.vercel.app. For a video-lecture page, it sends the lecture's transcript text instead. That server uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate a short summary (or, for a lecture, structured study notes) and returns the result to your browser. Summarize never runs on its own — only when you click it.

What is sent to our server when you use Summarize:

  • The visible text of the page you are actively viewing, or for a lecture page, its transcript

What is not sent:

  • Your account information, login credentials, or session cookies for any site

  • Your browsing history

  • Pages other than the one you actively chose to summarize

Data retention

We do not store or analyze the content of pages sent to our server, whether from LinkedIn cleaning or the Summarize feature. The page text is forwarded to Anthropic's API, the result is returned to you, and the text is discarded.

Server logs and abuse prevention

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically maintains standard server logs of HTTP requests to our API. These logs include the requesting IP address, timestamp, request URL, and HTTP response status, and are used for operational monitoring, debugging, and abuse prevention. The body of the request (the actual page text) is not included in these logs.

To prevent misuse of our server, we limit how many requests a single IP address can make in a given period. Enforcing this limit uses your IP address, processed through a service called Upstash, to count recent requests. These counts expire automatically after a short time and are not linked to your name, email, or any account.

Vercel and Upstash retain operational data according to their standard practices.

Third parties

Strip It relies on three third-party services for its server-based features (LinkedIn cleaning and Summarize):

  • Vercel hosts the API endpoint and provides server infrastructure. Vercel's privacy policy

  • Anthropic provides the Claude AI used to parse LinkedIn profiles and generate summaries. Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models, and inputs and outputs are automatically deleted within 30 days — extended to 90 days, or longer, only if a request is flagged under their Acceptable Use Policy or where required by law. Anthropic's privacy policy

  • Upstash provides the rate-limiting service used to prevent abuse, which processes IP addresses as described above. Upstash's privacy policy

The basic on-device cleaning and printing features do not involve any third party.

Permissions

Strip It requires permission to read and modify webpage content in Safari. This permission is used only when you actively click the Strip It icon. The extension does not run automatically in the background, does not read pages until you click, and does not store anything about the pages you visit.

Children's privacy

Our apps do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
